Curriculum Overview:
Adventures in Learning’s curriculum is flexible and geared towards each child’s interest. Our teachers provide resourceful alternatives to the actual creation of a project by stimulating the child’s natural curiosity which is necessary to produce an enjoyable learning environment. Our program not only reinforces concepts, but it also expands your child’s vocabulary and provides them with a foundation for early reading skills. Children are encouraged to work independently, in small groups, and in large groups with our warm and loving staff’s guidance. Once a week your little one will get to enjoy music classes with Mr.Dave as well as Yoga classes with Mrs.Renee. Scroll to learn more about our individualized curriculum’s.
Infant Curriculum
Our infant curriculum encompasses activities geared towards developing your child’s cognition, motor skills, and socialization. During activity time your child will be playing with teething toys, baby mirrors, and rattles to refine their sensory skills. Later on, your little one will read picture books, play with hand puppets and stuffed animals right before they enjoy their lunch. In the late afternoon building activities as well as reading and song activities are implemented to stimulate imagination and foster a happy learning environment.
Toddler/Pre-School Curriculum
Our center’s curriculum utilizes the Scholastic Early Childhood Program. The curriculum develops early learning skills and experiences critical for a child’s future success in school. Through purposeful play as well as explicit instruction, the program provides learners with a strong foundation in early literacy, language, math as well as science, while also encouraging personal and social development.
