Infants

8 weeks to 18 months

At the youngest stage, our curriculum is designed to gently nurture your child’s exploration of the world through play, conversation, movement, and safe sensory experiences. Children are engaged with age-appropriate materials, such as rattles, mirrors, soft blocks, and picture books, which help build early cognition, motor control, and social awareness. They are also cared for in a nurturing environment where staff respond to cues, encourage interactions, and foster secure attachments.

Instruction and interaction are offered in both English and Spanish, helping develop early language awareness in both languages. Across all areas —social, emotional, cognitive, and physical —we plan activities to support reaching developmental milestones, such as grasping, sitting unsupported, babbling, simple turn-taking, and beginning interactions with peers and adults.

Toddlers

18 months to 2 years

In our Toddler curriculum, children begin to engage more actively with their world. They explore, ask questions, move, talk, play, and begin to assert independence. Through purposeful play, manipulatives, books, circle times, movement games, and outdoor time, toddlers build early language (in English and Spanish), begin counting and sorting, refine large and small motor skills, and practice personal and social habits (sharing, cooperation, self‑help).

Our dual‑language approach means caregivers model and use both English and Spanish throughout the day, giving children rich exposure to both languages. We intentionally design experiences that promote emotional awareness (identifying feelings, building friendships), cognitive growth (problem solving, cause and effect, early literacy and numeracy concepts), as well as physical development (running, climbing, fine motor tasks). Every activity is selected to support children reaching key milestones such as speaking in short sentences, following two‑step directions, showing interest in peers, and practicing self‑care.

Preschool Prep

2 to 3 years

During Preschool Prep, we scaffold children’s readiness for our preschool program by deepening their skills across all domains. The curriculum includes language‑rich lessons in both English and Spanish—stories, songs, dramatic play, early writing, and phonemic awareness—as well as number sense, shapes, science exploration,s and social studies concepts. At the same time, children participate in yoga, music, STEM‑inspired activities, cooperative group projects, and outdoor gross motor play, all aimed at strengthening physical coordination, confidence, and teamwork.

Emotional and social development remain a priority: children are supported in expressing their thoughts, managing impulses, cooperating, resolving simple conflicts, and developing friendships. Our program intentionally integrates activities that reach milestones like recognizing letters and sounds, using increasingly complex sentences in both languages, solving simple problems, following group routines independently, and exhibiting greater control of body and movements.

Preschool

3-4 Years

Our Preschool curriculum at Adventures in Learning offers a balanced, engaging program that builds foundational academic readiness as well as strong social‑emotional and physical growth. Children actively participate in lessons and playful investigations in literacy, math, science, creative arts, and Spanish/English language development. They practice writing letters, exploring number operations, investigating living things and environments, and engaging in music, movement, and art to express themselves. Instruction is delivered bilingually, supporting emerging fluency and cultural awareness.

Children are also guided in developing self‑regulation, independence, collaboration, and confidence, key emotional and social milestones before entering kindergarten. Through structured and child‑initiated activities, they refine motor skills (cutting, writing, balancing, jumping), cognitive skills (prediction, classification, early reading readiness), and language skills in both English and Spanish. Our goal is that each child leaves preschool socially confident, emotionally resilient, cognitively prepared, and physically enthusiastic for their next step.
